Our Lady of Guadalupe Committee
The committee works very hard throughout the year to prepare for the big celebration that commemorates the events that changed the history of Latin America. The parish community gathers together on the 12th of December every year to celebrate, remember, and bring to life what occurred in the 16th century when Our Lady appeared to Juan Diego and asked for a Shrine to be built for her. As a sign, her image was miraculously imprinted on Juan Diego’s tilma – an image which still exists today. The community begins the celebration in the church early in the morning for veneration and devotion to our Lady who brought Christ to a lost country. They then gather for light refreshments and subsequently process into the Church with indigenous dancing and music for the celebration of the Eucharist. After Mass, there is a procession to the Gym where a reenactment brings the story to life with music and live acting. Finally, there are more authentic dances and plenty of authentic Mexican food and drink for the occasion. If you like to participate in the event please contact

Prayer Blanket Ministry
“Through the gift of a prayer blanket, symbolizing Faith, Hope, Love and Peace and a commitment of daily prayer by its members, our Ministry seeks to obtain healing, protection, or strength and grace for those on our Prayer Blanket Ministry List.” We meet monthly during the school year on the First Friday of each month, after the 9:00 a.m. Mass, in Room 203 in the Parish Life Center. If you are in need of a prayer blanket, please notify the Parish Office at 770-887-9861.  Vicki Winslow, [email protected] or via 770-894-2277 Download brochure – Prayer Blank brochure

This ministry is currently only available in Spanish. If you would like to participate in this ministry, please contact For Women: Violeta at [email protected]
