Extraordinary Ministers for the Homebound: These Ministers bring the Body of Christ to those restricted to their home, nursing home or hospital. If you are interested in becoming an Extraordinary Minister or you are an Extraordinary Minister and would like to become part of the Homebound Ministry, please contact Jerry Mansheim at Email EM Homebound
Habitat for Humanity: Volunteers with the backing of The Church of the Good Shepherd assist in building homes for the disadvantaged within our Community. If you are interested in helping with these wonderful Community Projects, please contact Mark Meade at Email Habitat
Knights of Columbus: Our Parish has its own Council of the Knights of Columbus which serve our Church as well as the surrounding Community. Please contact Joe Sanders if you are interested in becoming a member or you are transferring from another Council at E-mail KofC
Mats for the Homeless: Sleeping bag mats for the homeless are made from recycled bags. Please join us as follows:
- First Monday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Aerobicize Room.
- First Wednesday of each month 10:00 -12noon in room 205.
- Second Monday of each month from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in room 205.
- Second Tuesday of each month from 10:00 – 12noon (knitting and crocheting). Come learn to crochet in room 203
- Fourth Wednesday of each month from 10-12noon in room 205
Please bring plastic bags (all sizes and colors) and scissors. Any questions please call Karen Blaser 678-641-0724 or email below. Make sure the bags are empty (no crumbs or receipts) and they must be dry (not sticky, no water or juices). Bring the bags to the church and place them in the box in the hall outside of the Gift Shop, drop them by parish office or bring them to Michael Gagnon or Garry Lee in the PLC. Men’s Club: The Men of the Church of the Good Shepherd Parish promote fellowship, provide support for the parish and other ministries, and offer spiritual growth for all men as well as Community Support. If you are interested in joining the Men’s Club, please contact E-mail Men’s Club
St. Vincent de Paul Society: These volunteers minister to the “least of our brothers” financially with support with rent, medicine, food, clothing, furniture and the like.
